Halima Ahmad has over five years of experience in law. She is currently doing her youth service with the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the capital of Nigeria, Abuja. Halima has always been into volunteering her services with different organizations at different aspects of her life. Her work with Arewametoo Minna led to the domestication of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act in Niger state which speeds up the process of convicting criminals and perpetrators of violence, rape, and every form of molestation. She holds a Legum Baccalaureate (law degree) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where she was the President of the Niger state law students in the school.
Her experience in leadership, communications, and group work have led to a lot of recognition and commendations. She is a volunteer for the TEDx Minna media team due to her social media savvy nature. She has her own business whereby she sells fashionable clothing and promotes it all on her own. Halima is a people person and is always at the top of her element when she is helping. She writes and intends to use her voice and pen to change narratives, question norms, and bring about phenomenal societal changes. |
