C. M. Okonkwo is a French-speaking Nigerian author who grew up in Lagos and moved to France to study, where she obtained a B.Sc. in Business Management, an M.Sc. in Personnel and Employment Management, and an advanced M.Sc. in International Human Resources Management and Development. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and currently practices HR as a profession. She also writes as a passion, which is fuelled by her love for travel and tourism, where she pulls experiences and merges them with her limitless imagination.
CMO has published more than 25 books across various categories (prose, poetry, and non-fiction) and genres (crime, thriller, literary fiction, erotica, romance, horror, science fiction, and fantasy), some of which have been shortlisted for awards and also won prizes, including the Africa Book Club Short Story Competition (winner), the 50 Best Indie Books (two-time finalist), Quramo Writers’ Prize (two-time finalist) and Wattpad Short Story Contest (multiple-time winner). She’s an active member of the International Thriller Writers, and PEN Nigeria (where she is the Secretary of the Editorial Board) and the Secretary (2020 – 2022) of the Association of Nigerian Authors – Lagos chapter. |
