Francis Damini hails from Ogbia Local Government of Bayelsa State in Nigeria. He has many accolades/awards to his name, including the Bayelsa International Film Festival Awards (BIFF) for Best Writer in 2022 for his work in "Echoes from the Creeks," (a short film that tells the original plight of the Ijaw people in Niger Delta region of Nigeria. He is also into dark prose and poetry, amongst other writing genres.
