Jewo Oghenetega is a black African poet from Nigeria. A creative writer, Christian spoken word artiste, and 3rd-year undergraduate of medicine and surgery at the Lagos State University College of Medicine.
He is the winner of the 2023 F. Sean Hodge Prize for Poetry In Medicine, winner of the Brigitte Poirson Poetry Contest (June-July 2022), first runner-up of the 2022 Albert Jungers Poetry Prize, first runner-up of the 2022 PIN Poetically Written Prose Contest. His works have appeared/are forthcoming on Brittle Paper, The Healing Muse, BPPC Anthologies, Writers Space Africa, Itanile, Artslounge, and elsewhere. |
