Mayowa Oyewale is a Nigerian poet and photographer. He stays at Ile-Ife, where he is currently studying Literature-in-English at Obafemi Awolowo University.
Mayowa is a poetry reader at Chestnut Review. His work has been featured in anthologies such as Memento: An Anthology of Contemporary Nigerian Poetry, edited by Adedayo Agarau, and Public Poetry’s Pandemic Poems. Other works have appeared in POETRY, Gutter Magazine, The Cardiff Review, California Quarterly, SAND Journal, bath magg, Blue Marble Review, The Shore Poetry, etc. His work was a semi-finalist for the 2020 & 2021 Jack Grapes Poetry Prize, and was shortlisted for the 2020 Kreative Diadem Poetry Contest. He divides his time between Ile-Ife, Osogbo, and Ibadan. |
