Olafisoye-Oragbade Oluwatosin David is a 400 Level medical student of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Kwara with the psuedonym "King Davey". He is a poet, and spoken words artist who enjoys playing with words. He won the ILUMSA Malaria Day Poetry Contest in 2021.
His poem was also longlisted in the top 20 entries for the Nigeria Students' Poetry Prize in the same year. His works are published/forthcoming on African Writer, Arts Lounge NYC, Shuzia and elsewhere. He's performed on different platforms across the country including online, and was awarded the Best Poetry Content at Poethon Season 4. He was 2nd Runner-up at YWCA's Spoken Words Artist of the year, 2021. |
