Olumide Gabriel Areo is a poet and nonfiction writer.
Drawing from his humanitarian work and social impact, his nonfiction work "Lessons from One hundred and Three" made Top Fifteen (15) globally on the Peter Drucker Essay Challenge "Leadership and Critical Thinking" in 2020. He started writing for publication in 2017 after his work “Smart Phones Are Changing the Way We Live" was shortlisted for entry by Techno on the Student Writing Contest "Capture Your Legend.” He currently writes for the Chatham House Common Features Conversation Blog, discussing development issues with other young leaders from Europe and Africa. His writing style in poetry is intertwined with mixed feelings of nature and humanity. He is a Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Awardee, and the Ford Motor Fund Community Impact Fellow 2020. |
